"A priest, a gorilla, and a pirate with a parrot on his shoulder walk into a bar.  The priest says to the drunk sitting at the bar, "Hey, did you ever finish building that house?"  And the drunk pulls out a gun and shoots the priest.  The gorilla, the pirate and even the parrot decide to keep their mouths shut.

July 6, 2005

We are working on several projects, but Brian is doing most of the work.  We are trying to fix an area of the grading where water is not going where we want.  June had a 60 year record rainfall and we have a lot of standing water in the yard.

We also have a nesting Florida leatherback  turtle that is digging up the grading.

Day 348 & 349

July 2 & 3, 2005

Brian is laying out a section of the bamboo flooring that must be in place before the bar units (and ultimately the plumbing) can be installed.

Brian is also continuing to work on the interior window frames and door frames.

Daniel is scrubbing and prepping the floor upstairs in the garage for a finish layer of wood.

June 26, 2005

Finally the painting is completed for the upstairs of the garage.

The lumber for the second floor deck has been delivered.

We've completed the first coat of color on the walls upstairs in the garage and down the stairs.

June 20, 2005
The second coat on the ceiling is complete.  Now we have to move the masking and get the walls painted.

June 19, 2005

We are painting the ceiling on the second floor of the garage.  Lots of rain and humidity everyday so we have to wait between coats of paint.

We have finished the PVA primer on the stairwell of the garage.

June 17, 2005

Brian has installed the door the a/c closet downstairs.  We have also applied the PVA primer coat to the upstairs of the garage.

June 13, 2005

We finished painting the stairwell wall.  Brian also sealed the floor in the multi-purpose room in preparation.

The dishwasher was delivered, today, and we also might have finally found the carpet for the downstairs.

We are also getting quotes on the decking materials which are seeming tougher to come by than expected.
