Construction Day 150 August 25 We are still working on the rigid insulation. We also painted primer on the oculus to begin testing the paint.

Construction Day 149 August 21 With Jeff's help, we finished removing the trunk and roots of the tree we had to cut down last week because it was sick.

Late in the evening, the window company finally showed up to install the finishing cap to cover the steel beam on the large rear window. It finally looks like a complete window. |

Construction Day 148 August 20 The window jamb extensions are being installed today while Brian continues to work with the rigid insulation.

Brian is still working on the rigid insulation. Dan and Adil are moving sand to work on the grading around the far side of the house where the backhoe does not reach. | ||

Moving between three projects, we are back to sealing the stucco exterior and moving sand. We are also getting quotes for the exterior painting. | ||

We are still installing rigid insulation. | ||
| NOTE 08/14/03: The kitchen cabinets have been delivered at the insistence of the cabinet "middle man." After they already said the cabinets would be delivered during the last two weeks and we waited for the delivery, the cabinets are here now. Even though dry wall is not up, the price included installation, we were told to order early because of a price increase, and the cabinets came in earlier than expected, he wants his money. We won't be doing any more business with American Kitchens, and we suggest no one else does either. | |||

Construction Day 143 August 13 With Adil's help, we have finally installed the skylight on top of the oculus. It really changes the look of the house. |

Construction Day 142 August 12 We have several projects going at once. We are still working on the rigid insulation inside, but today, with Adil's help, we moved a dump truck load of sand and continued with sealing the stucco exterior. |

Construction Day 141 August 4 Another day working on putting up rigid insulation. Adil is working outside cutting up the tree we took down and putting it at the curb. |
