The tile guy has moved on to the tub surround upstairs.  He has a new helper and Daniel is making sure the pattern matches the plans.

A different glass company crew showed up to try for the third time to correctly install the sliding doors in the hot tub room and the glass enclosure for the shower stall.  Did I mention to never use Acme Glass Company?

February 28, 2005

After disappearing again for several days, the tile guy has at least been able to complete the grout on the hot tub room ceiling.

It is tough to see in the photo, but there is a sprinkling of silver glitter in the grout.

February 21, 2005

The tile guy has shown up and is continuing with the grouting of the downstairs' shower.

 Brian is installing the cabinet hardware in the bathrooms.

Even small steps in progress are celebrated.

We have received some cool aerial photos from the transportation department.

This one shows our construction site with the grey roof.

February 17, 2005

The crew from Acme Glass has returned to attempt to correctly install the sliding glass panels for the 3rd time. 

We finally had them leave after tearing up the track and now they will have to replace and re-install the floor track for the third time.

In the meantime, Daniel is marking the cabinet drawers and doors for hardware installation.

Brian is practicing and installing baseboard molding in the utility closet and the master bath.

The tile guy(s) are still grouting the downstairs shower and finishing detail work on the ceiling in the hot tub room.

The tile guy has returned and brought a helper.  So, tile is still going up on the ceiling and the shower stall is being grouted.

Tile for the ceiling is still going up.

Brian is learning and practicing to cut and install baseboard.

Rome wasn't built in a day, and apparently the Romans used a lot of tile.  The tile for the hot tub room is still going up.  It reached the ceiling today and we can get an idea how the ceiling will look.
