220 & 221

March 6 & 7, 2004

Most of the second floor walls have their first and second coat of color.  We are also still working on finishing masking the ceiling on the second floor so we can begin painting those walls.  The colors look great but do not seem to show up well in photos.

March 5, 2004

A day of cleaning and masking has made all the walls on the second floor ready to paint.  The walls on the first floor are almost ready for paint.

We're making some progress... we spent a half day finishing the masking of the second floor so we can start painting the walls.  Then, we switched gears and headed to the sadly neglected garage (remember the garage?) and spent half a day cleaning and getting it ready to mask for the PVA primer.

February 29, 2004

Thank goodness for Leap Year which allowed us an extra day of progress.  We are almost finished with the second coat of color on the ceilings.  Brian is atop the scaffolding back-rolling the first coat on the 13' ceiling which is the last area to complete.

We do not remember who conceived the idea, but someone planted the seed of motivation that lead Julia to come back and labor for a day.  With a hand from Julia, we completed multiple areas of moving the masking from the walls to the ceilings and are ready to complete painting the ceilings and start painting the walls.  Julia spent a lot of time looking at the ceiling so we could be sure the color would be just right.  Our dedicated group was spent by the end of the day, but basked in the afterglow of a job well done.

We are masking the remaining ceiling in the house so we can get in a full day of painting.

Brian is masking the 18' ceilings.

February 14 & 15, 2004

We have applied the first and second coat of ceiling color to the upstairs and half of the downstairs ceilings.

We have completed the priming of the house.  Now, we have to order the color for ceiling and begin painting, again.
