Days 321-330 | |
The Dream is almost a reality. |
Watch our progress while we build |
Construction Day 330 May 5, 2005 The tank and drain field have supposedly been inspected. The crew came while we were gone and covered everything. The mound is in place and the sides are sloped. |
Construction Day 329 May 3, 2005 Nothing like twelve dump trucks of sand at 5:30 in the morning to get your day started (especially when you were unaware they would be arriving at that early hour). |
The sand begins to fill the large trench prepared for the drain field. |
Then the baffles for the drain field are placed and partially covered. |
The septic system is ready for the first inspection by the County and the geo-tech engineer. |
Construction Day 328 May 2, 2005 The septic system (tank and field) is going in today. First, they have to dig the hole for the tank. |
The 1050 gallon tank is delivered and set into place. |
Then the digging for the drain field begins. |
Looks like our crap is going pretty deep. The sand delivery did not come in time so the crew will return tomorrow. |
Construction Day 327 April 26, 2005 We are continuing to seal grout in the hot tub room. Brian is also working on making the interior frame moldings for the windows. |
Construction Day 326 April 23, 2005 In preparation of the septic system install, we are moving our lovely pile of dirt from in front of the house. We are using it to work on the grading in the backyard. |
Construction Day 325 April 22, 2005 The drywall crew showed up unexpectedly (is there any other way for a contractor to arrive). At least, the new wall in the staircase is complete and ready for painting. Yaaaaah... more painting! Woo-hoo. |

Construction Day 321 April 6, 2005 A crew showed up unannounced, and the drywall boards for the new wall in the staircase have been put up. |
